Last night my host took me out to a new music events spot in town and told the the history.
Apparently in the 80's Lincoln city had itself a rather shady business man. He owned a mortuary/ funeral parlor. It seems that while he was collecting fees to bury people in the graveyard, he was keeping the money and the bodies. Apparently he had a stash of dead bodies whose smell eventually lead to their discovery. Go figure since then, the place has sat empty. But not any more, Lincoln City has its own alternative events spot ( the casino is the only other venue) and it is called the Eventurary.
I got to see a one woman band perform who had an awesome voice

She is even a Canadian, a francophone. It was a great way to spend a Monday night.
